Guest Analyst Prof. Chaitanya MishraMultidisciplinary Academic PerspectiveS (MAPS) is an initiative towards broadening the horizons of our academia and understanding. We take multidisciplinary approaches on topics aimed at extending and redrawing the maps of our comprehension. The name MAPS speaks for itself.

MAPS  organizes "SHASTRARTHA", an academic exchange/discussion and interpretation program usually with 2 speakers. The presentations of the speakers are followed by an open floor discussion in which all the participants interact and exchange perspectives. 

MAPS invites and welcomes you to the Shastrartha being held at Martin Chautari, Thapathali every Saturday from 4 pm to 6 pm.  Participation in Shastrartha is open to all.

Unless otherwise stated, SHASTRARTHA takes place in Nepali language.

Multidisciplinary Academic PerspectiveS (MAPS), in collaboration with Nepal Institute of Labour Studies (NILS), organized an Interaction program on “Youth and Rural Development” on 17th September 2006 from 2:00pm to 5:50pm at Gurukul, Old Baneswor. ........click here for more details.
 Participants at the beginning of the Hike
On 12th August 2006, MAPS organized a Hike form Sivapuri to Sundarijal to mark the 7th International Youth Day with the slogan “Tackling Poverty Together”.
Before starting the hike, the president of MAPS, Bhasker Kafle, gave information on the International Youth Day, the slogan of the year, its significance, the reason why MAPS was celebrating it.  He also mentioned that the hike happened to coincide with the completion of 3 successful months of Shastrartha, the weekly program organized by MAPS every Saturday. He then briefed about the hike itself while  Dr.  Aruna Upreti informed the participants about the health issues and the measures one should take into consideration while hiking for such a relatively longer distance. ...More
